The Urban Developer proudly welcomes Kris Daff, Managing Director of Make Ventures as our guest in our ‘in conversation’ webinar series.

Recognised as one of Australia’s most innovative developers, Kris and his team recently launched the Assemble Model – both a ‘rent-to-own’ pathway to home ownership and an alternative business model for residential property development.

The Assemble Model is the culmination of three years of research, both locally and overseas, and is the product of a vision to create ‘fairer, financially accessible, better-designed housing in Australia’.

In this session, Kris presents on Assemble's two current projects under development in Melbourne.

Projects Include:

393 Macaulay Rd. Kensington (under construction)

Designed by Fieldwork, the project comprises 73 apartments over 8 levels and was identified as one of Resilient Melbourne’s Resilient Communities, an initiative of 100 Resilient Cities, pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation.

15 Thompson Street, Kensington (pre-construction)

With architecture by Hayball and landscaping by Oculus, the project provides 198 apartments set in a sustainable, community-minded environment. The rent-to-buy offering is open to people with incomes from $60,000 and is supported by financial education through the tenancy phase.
